Jammu & Kashmir Police in Rajouri district has booked two Facebook users for their sensitive posts on social media platform thereby emerging as a threat for public order. The two persons booked are  Atiq Chowdhary and Farooq Choudhary who are using Facebook with their profiles as Chowdhary Atiq Rajourvi and Farooq Choudhary.

Both have been booked for trying to provoke and incite the feeling of hatred on the basis of religious and regional lines.

An officer of police said that the duo have been regularly found posting provocative posts on Facebook for the last over a week and have tried to create a wedge between different groups of people on religious and regional lines.

Taking strong note of it, police have registered a case in FIR No 511/2019 u/s 153-A RPC & 66-B IT Act in Rajouri Police Station and started investigation.

Senior Superintendent of Police Yougal Manhas said thatpeople from all walks of life have extended their best possible cooperation inmaintaining peace and order but few social media users are trying to createnuisance by their sensitive posts and stern action is being taken against suchelements.
